For elephants, every new day brings new adventures. For some, adventure lies in waterholes or under the shade of trees. For others, it lies somewhere on the horizon, in an unexplored area. Some elephants prefer to wander around on their own, while others like to stay near their herd.
In the weeks leading up to World Elephant Day, 12 August, join us in training for Trails for Trunks! We encourage you to raise awareness for elephants by finding adventures of your own. As you get out, hit the road, get in the water, or take to the mountains, keep this advice from the elephants in mind.
We would love to see your adventures! Please share photos and videos of your adventures with us by tagging us on social media or sending them to social@herd.org.za. Remember to download your Trails for Trunks stamps to take on your adventures and to help raise awareness for elephants and their conservation.

Hi. I love your posts, they always make me smile.
I will apply what I learnt from Fishan: You don’t have to go fast to where you need to be, and that patience is a virtue.
Thank you so much for the wonderful post. You are doing a great job 👌
