Description

Laura Curtin is a wildlife artist from Southern California. Laura works predominately in oils and creates paintings to make people smile. Every painting is a place she would like to be. Although the habitat is true to the subject, the animal’s place in the painting is from her imagination.

Laura says, “Painting this painting was emotional for me.  I often wonder what you all think about us out here that get attached to the little and big ones in your care.  We’re not there for the day to day ups and downs and all the work but yet somehow we feel like part of the family. I think about the terrible things that must have happened to the elephants for them to arrive in your care. I can only wish that no babies are orphaned and I recognize the naivety of that wish.”

All proceeds go towards the care of our rescued elephants. We appreciate your support in purchasing a digital print. After checkout, you will receive a link to download the photo. The high-resolution image is yours to keep, and you’re welcome to print it out and display it in your home.
