As of February 2023, Khanyisa is 830 kilograms! That’s 1830 pounds! A lot of consistent work has gone into getting her to this stage, as she starts to outgrow even some of her carers, and definitely her old friends, Lammie and Nungu.
Watch this reunion below with her sheep pals at the orphanage and Khanyisa’s latest weigh-in. We continue to track her weight gain to ensure that she is developing well and thriving in her new environment at the homestead, since she graduated the orphanage in November 2022.
Both Stavros and Reply are there to help her onto the scale as she drinks her milk bottles for a little encouragement. Our scale reading only goes up to 1000 kilograms so we don’t have too many weigh-ins left to record before we can’t anymore!
